Sunday Worship & Education
Worship with Holy Communion at 9am and 11am
Christian Education at 10am

Our 9am service is worship with Holy Communion, using a traditional sung liturgy.  If you have visited a Lutheran church before, this service may be familiar to you. Our 11am service is worship with Holy Communion, using a blended liturgy.  The service follows a traditional structure but incorporates music and other elements from a wide variety of cultural traditions.  The liturgy changes with each church season.

Christian Education for both children and adults begins at 10am every Sunday.  Please click here to get more information about our Sunday School and our Adult Education programs.  
 
Midweek Worship

A short service and Bible study is held each Wednesday at 12 noon, led by our seminarian, Vicar Stephanie Kershner. All are welcome to attend. The service and study last one hour.

Common Ground Alternative Worship

Worship on alternate Thursdays at 7:30 pm

A unique and dynamic worship experience every other Thursday evening, Common Ground is a group of people who gather to worship together in a new way.
We are teachers, artists, business people, seminarians, nannies, musicians, dreamers, cooks, wanderers, and wonderers. We are struggling and joyful with life's challenges as we look at the life of Jesus. Seeing the sturdy bridges Jesus sets before us helps us turn our challenges into blossoms and shows us ways to step out into the world in a courageous, fun, and deepening love that can be accessed by all.

Common Ground offers people in NYC and beyond a special family  — a family made up of individuals who may be single or coupled, with children or without. Our feedback tells us Common Ground is connecting people to their humanity and spirituality, to God and to one another, helping all of us worship in new ways, while staying down-to-earth. Something good is going on here in this time and place, with this group of people called Common Ground.

Please join us! Come alone or with your friends. We meet from 7:30- 8:30 pm every other Thursday night.  Please check the schedule as some months vary:
